Pray, Trust, Be Still and Keep My Faith

This summer, I constantly played; "Where is your Faith?" by Rev. James Cleveland.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8OWTlGDdNnY&list=FLyvMEbaMxHdsjiYH0Q84cOw&index=38
My mother played it every Sunday from her cassette.  I hadn't heard it since I was a little girl growing up in rural South GA. It brought back the "peaceful joy" I felt for the first time, from the Holy Spirit, when I was nine years old.  It started to make sense.  Summer's faith season was leading me to Fall's faith season of  prayer, trust,"Be Still", and keep my faith.

Until next time....

The Simple Woman's Daybook

Outside my window...it's raining

I am thinking...about my son's homework

I am thankful...for all of my blessings

From the learning rooms...(if this applies)

In the kitchen...just finished making dinner (Potato Soup)

I am wearing...jeans / t-shirt

I am creating...Narrator Gertha's blog

I am going...to our daughter's class to volunteer tomorrow

I am wondering...what the future holds

I am reading...Reading Today magazine

I am hoping...it will stop raining

I am looking forward to...volunteering

I am hearing...my son hit his spoon against his dinner bowl

Around the house...its peaceful

I am pondering...what I need to get done

One of my favorite things...reading

A few plans for the rest of the week: organize our bedroom, sort through outgrown and "have not worn in years"(: clothing

Here is picture for thought I am sharing...

Abiding Fruit???

I strive second by second, minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day, week by week, month by month and year by year to cultivate and bear the fruit of the spirit.

Galatians 5:22
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Thank God I am not where I used to be.  I was sooo excited to read about "Abiding Fruit" Bible Study!

Don't Cease!

On my annual visit to the doctor, my heart was lifted by this plaque:

1 Thessalonians 5:17 (Whole Chapter)
Pray without ceasing.

Just wanted to share(:
